How does it work?

Enquiry

It’s important to us that you feel completely comfortable talking to us about your current finances and where you’d like them to be, so we always want to make sure we’re a good fit.

That’s why we work on an application-only basis, via our enquiry form. We’ll then organise a call so that we can get to know each other a bit better, where we’ll ask you questions, you can ask us questions, and we’ll all have a lovely half an hour or so.

Onboarding

We’ll send over all the administrative bits we need, including an identity check to fulfil our legal Anti Money-Laundering obligations and any access invites before we book in your Onboarding session.

This is where we’ll help you set up any software and provide any training you need to make the most out of our work together.

Ongoing support

Every quarter we’ll send you a visual report of your numbers and invite you to book a call with us to talk it all through.

In the interim, we’re just a Whatsapp message or voicenote away – plus, you can always book a video call during a quarter if something pops up.

Our clients are all either VAT-registered or on their way to becoming VAT-registered (and that transition is something we can help with).
If you don’t want to go VAT-registered or it’s probably a couple of years off for you, we won’t be the best fit at this moment in time.
Absolutely – as much as we love Deal, our work is virtual.
Yes, whenever possible. We do this by registering as your tax agent.
Occasionally, there might be something you have to speak to them about yourself, but in this situation, we’ll always provide you with the information you need.
Very little. We simplify the process as much as possible by setting up easy-to-use software and systems for you.
In most cases, your role is simply to snap a photo of a receipt or upload documents as you go. From there, we take care of the bookkeeping and keep everything organised and up to date for you.
We’ll send quarterly reminders to update your records because we can only work with what we’ve got – this goes for both government compliance things, and also your reports and advice.
If you’re really worried about not being able to get them ready in time, please just message us, and we’ll see what we can do.
We require all of our clients to use Quickbooks and Apron as their accounting and receipts software, because they’re the best on the market for what we – and you – need. You don’t have to pay any extra for them, though – the fee is all included in your subscription.
We’ll also set the software up for you, so you don’t need to worry about having it in place in advance.
Pretty much every which way, bar semaphore and smoke signals: Whatsapp messages, Voicenotes, email and phone.
Most of our clients use whatsapp because it helps them get their thoughts/ideas across quickest and easiest!
We don’t offer these at the moment because our advice is based on a lot of detail and a deep understanding of your personal situation, which we simply can’t do in a shorter setting.

Meet your accounting team

Sam and Natalie Brown: the husband-and-wife, numbers-and-vibes team behind myQuarterly. Technically we’re a fully qualified accounting firm, but you can think of us more as a sounding board for any financial questions you might have, or a partner for your business finances.

We’re basically like Amy Poehler in Mean Girls, if you replace ‘not a regular mom’ with ‘not a regular accountant’. In short, we believe your finances should help you live the life you want to live, and we’re here to help you get there.
